“You have the responsibility to shape your life. You are the person who pushes yourself forward or holds yourself back. The power to succeed or fail is yours alone.”
― Gary Mack
What separates people who are mediocre from those who are great lies in the 5 inches of space between your ears. The athletes who perform best don’t focus on all of the things that could possibly go wrong- instead, they visualize success, they can see so clearly what it would feel like, look like, taste like to win or to achieve their goal. This is what sets them apart.
It is the human condition to want to dwell in the “what if’s” and to focus on the things that are holding us back. What if I fail? What if I miss? What if I go for it, and can’t?
BUT WHAT IF YOU GO FOR IT, AND CAN?
People who experience success are able to instead focus on the thing that they want. They don’t let the fear of failure hold them back. As much as we train our bodies in the gym and work on getting stronger each day, we need to work on training our minds as well! We need to reshape our way of thinking so that we can be our own biggest cheerleaders and ultimately push ourselves towards success. The mind is powerful, and if you can envision what you want, you will achieve it. So, what is it that you want?
