1;1 Nutrition Coaching is, in my opinion, one of the MOST valuable services that we offer here at Crossfit Oxnard. Beyond fitness, beyond community, beyond even Normatek recovery (okay, that is pretty awesome too), having a good understanding of our nutrition and knowing how we can fuel our bodies well is fundamental to our overall health, longevity, and quality of life. Nutrition goes far beyond simply our performance in the gym. What we put into our bodies is EVERYTHING!
A question that I am asked frequently is simply, what does 1:1 coaching look like? Obviously, it is going to look a little bit different for everyone. Just like movements in our CrossFit classes are scaled to your personal experience and goals, so is nutrition coaching. But a SUPER quick snapshot will look something like this:
We start with an Inbody and measurements, and we get a baseline of where you are at currently. You and I will use this data to have a chat about your goals, short term and long term. We’ll talk about what has worked for you in the past, and what hasn’t. What your life is like. I get to know you, and you get to know me. And together, we create a plan that is going to work for YOU. We set goals together, short term and long term, and I am your accountability partner each month when we meet making sure that we are moving the needle forward towards these goals. We reassess biometrics each month, revisit your personalized meal plan, make adjustments where we need to, and we keep our eyes on the prize together. Basically, I trick you into becoming one of your best friends, and together we find ourselves taking action steps towards being the best versions of ourselves, with the way that we eat, sleep, move, and interact with the people around us at the core.Want to dive a little bit deeper?
