In preparation for the nutrition challenge, Coach Nikki asked that I jump on early and try out the Healthy Steps Nutrition App to get familiar with how it works. A part of the app will allow you to link up the My Fitness Pal app to your account. If you haven’t used My Fitness Pal, it’s a way to log your food intake. It tracks calories, macros, water, and you can enter in your daily exercise. Mostly people that want to lose weight will use this as a guide to stay in a caloric deficit.
For those that don’t really care to clean up their diet, I challenge you to track your food for 3 days. I mean track everything…you’ll be surprised to see how many calories each meal really is. Chic-filet is not a healthy breakfast…sorry I had to tell you.
Track your food for a week, see how far you go over your daily calories, and really think about how you can change the way you eat. Not to have a complete diet overhaul, but the mindset of living a healthy lifestyle.
